Spice is descended from the famous line of Korcula Midnight bitches, bred by Dr. Charles and Lynn Garvin in Marion, Ohio.  Korcula is one of  the Dalmatian foundation kennels in America, registered in 1965 by Dr. John and Betty Garvin, Charlie's parents.  Spice is the eight generation of the Korcula Midnight pedigree which includes Korcula Midnight Serenade "Sarah".  Sarah was winner of the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty in 1981 and dam of nine champions.   Equally famous is her sire, Ch. Firebuster's Gud Humor Man "Bob".  Bob is a mulitple Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show a Winner.  He is currently the top ranked national special in 2001.

Spice began her show career at age six months with entry in the Greenville Kennel Club All Breed A Match in July, 1999.  She was awarded Best of Breed, Non-Sporting Group First and Best In Match from an entry of 250+, handled by her owner.  In limited showing from the puppy classes in the fall of 1999, Spice received a 3 point major under Judge Clinton Harris.  In 2000, she was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex at the Birmingham Kennel Club under judge Roxanne Berton.   She also was awarded Winners Bitch by LaMar Mathis, Robert Hall, Donna Buxton, Dr. Robert Smith, Herbert Rosen, Forrest McCoy and James Frederiksen.  After a hiatus from the show ring to whelp and raise puppies, Spice finished her championship in August, 2001 with a three point major under Judge Mrs. Wanda Spediacci.

Spice was bred to Ch. Trailside's Loaded Dice in late 2000 and whelped a litter of 11 on January 12, 2001.  (See Spice's Litter.)  Two of her puppies are now competing for the their conformation championships:  Korcula Midnight Escada "Jam", a black and white bitch, and Escada's Court of Coach K "Coach".

Spice's litter brother Korcula Lyondal Midnight Ryder is also competing for his championship and has earned one major.
